Picture of the cable car

If you click at a picture, you would got a "high resolution" version. Carefull, those files are big and request an ADSL line !

With a capacity of 125 slots, the cable car of "Les Diablerets" take skiers from Col du Pillon (1'546 m) to the top of Sex Rouge (2'930 m) in two parts. We would jump from the upper part (2'524 m - 2'930 m).
This picture was take at the departure, at Col du Pillon. We can see, in the small circle, the two cabins of the upper part. They are almost at the "jumping position".
While leving the "Col du Pillon", we discover, at the right of the picture, the parking which would be used for packing area. The landing zone is at the bottom left of the picture.
Here is what it look like form the "jumping point" (Not exactly, the cabin still a bit to "right" on this picture) ...
We can see the shadow of the two cabins in the snow. The "exit point" would be about at the "crossing point" !
Here under, you will see more technical details.
Just for fun, here is what it look like, from the top station ...
A front vue to see the flight under canopy ...

Map of the region at 50'000 scale. The red flag is at the exit point. The big yellow is the main landing place and the little yellow is the alternate landing place.

Front vue of the upper part of the cable car.
We can see the jump altitude - with the full charged cabin - about 195 m. When the cabin became empty, it would go up until 215 m.

Side vue, under the exit point

James Boole calculate the possibles trajectories for a wingsuit flight from the empty cabin :
(But he did it for nothing, because we would not allow wingsuits jumps !!)
